E400 programmable thermostat for electric underfloor heating, 16 A

E400 is a programmable thermostat for electric underfloor heating, controlled directly from the device. The entire schedule is stored in the thermostat itself, so the system does not require a WiFi network, an app, or an account - which is convenient in rented apartments, country houses, or simply when you don't want another app on your phone.

Which systems are suitable for?

• Electric floor heating mats – under the tiles, into the glue.
• Electric underfloor heating cables – into a concrete or leveling layer.
• Infrared film – after laminate, parquet and vinyl.

The total power of the connected system must not exceed 3000 W (16 A). A 16 A circuit breaker is required in the circuit, and a 3 × 2.5 mm² cable is recommended for power supply.

Three programming methods

Unlike thermostats with a fixed weekly cycle, the E400 allows you to choose how the week is divided:

• 5+2 – weekdays and weekends separately (factory setting).
• 6+1 – when Saturday is lived as a workday, and only Sunday is free.
• 7 days – each day of the week is programmed separately.

Floor sensor and floor protection

With electric underfloor heating, a floor temperature sensor is essential - without it, the covering is not protected from overheating. The E400 supports three sensor modes:

• N1 – indoor air sensor only. Not for use with underfloor heating.
• N2 – external floor sensor only. Suitable for bathrooms.
• N3 – the internal sensor controls the room temperature, and the external one limits the floor temperature. The safest and most commonly used option.

The factory floor temperature limit is 45 °C. If it is exceeded, the relay switches off and the overheating alarm is activated; if it falls below 43 °C, the heating is resumed. The limit is changed from 20 to 70 °C according to the requirements of the floor covering manufacturer.

 

Installation

The front part is 86 × 86 mm, protruding only 8 mm above the wall surface – one of the thinnest in our range. Mounted in a standard European 68 × 60 mm mounting box with the mounting plate included in the kit.

The recommended height from the floor is about 1.5 m, in a dry room, without direct sunlight. It is not recommended to install the thermostat in a bathroom or other wet room - it is placed outside the room, and only the sensor is led into the floor.

Backup floor temperature sensor can be purchased separately.
