E550i is a programmable thermostat for electric floor heating, controlled both from the device and from your phone via the Smart Life app. The 16 A load allows you to connect a heating system of up to 3000 W, so one thermostat is enough even for a larger room.
Which systems are suitable for?
The total power of the connected system must not exceed 3000 W (16 A). A 16 A circuit breaker is required in the circuit, and a 3 × 2.5 mm² cable is recommended for power supply.
Floor sensor and floor protection
With electric underfloor heating, a floor temperature sensor is essential - without it, the covering is not protected from overheating. The E550i supports three sensor modes:
- N1 – indoor air sensor only. Not for use with underfloor heating.
- N2 – external floor sensor only. Suitable for bathrooms where the temperature of the floor itself is important.
- N3 – the internal sensor controls the room temperature, while the external sensor limits the floor temperature. The safest and most commonly used option.
The factory floor temperature limit is 45 °C, which is suitable for most flooring. If it is exceeded, the relay switches off and an overheat alarm is activated; when the temperature drops to 43 °C, the heating is automatically resumed. The limit can be changed from 20 to 70 °C according to the requirements of the flooring manufacturer.
If necessary spare floor temperature sensor, it can be purchased separately.
Savings features
- Open window function – when the temperature suddenly drops, the heating is temporarily turned off for 5 to 60 minutes.
- Vacation mode – maintains a background temperature of up to 27°C for up to 30 days to prevent the house from cooling down completely when you are away.
- 0.5 °C accuracy – the temperature does not fluctuate, the system does not turn on unnecessarily.
- Cooling mode – the same thermostat can be switched to control cooling equipment.
Control via Smart Life
Connected to a 2.4 GHz WiFi network, the thermostat can be controlled from anywhere: temperature, schedule, vacation mode and remote locking. Multiple thermostats can be connected to a group and controlled simultaneously - convenient when there are several heated rooms in the house.
Installation
Recessed thermostat, front dimensions 86 × 86 mm, mounted in a standard European socket 68 × 60 mm mounting box. Recommended height from the floor is about 1.5 m, in a dry room, without direct sunlight. Installation directly in a bathroom or other wet room is not recommended - in this case, the thermostat is placed outside the room, and only the sensor is led into the floor.
