Installation of underfloor heating in the sauna, without concreting

This time we want to tell you about a slightly smaller project, but we believe that most owners of saunas and various garden houses will be interested in reading about this work. 

We received a call from a person who was installing a small sauna near his house. The client mentioned that he had searched the internet for various heating methods that would be effective, but realized that installing heating in a small room could be very expensive.

The client's main requirements for the heating system were very simple:

• so that the heating system does not take up much space. This means that there are no additional pipes or radiators;
• so that during the cold season the temperature can be maintained at least 10°C;
• so that a lot of moisture does not accumulate on the floor after lighting the sauna;
• All heating installation work and materials would not cost a lot of money.

During the first call, we told you about the infrared film sold by Devinera, which is very thin, quick and easy to install, and the price will definitely be affordable.

Upon arrival at the client's home, we installed underfloor heating in the sauna entrance hall in less than two hours. During the project, we installed 6.5 sq. m. infrared filmsThis film will be very useful for the client, because after lighting the sauna and bathing in it, the floor becomes wet and slippery, but when our heating film is turned on, the floor covering warms up within 15-20 minutes, so the moisture will evaporate very quickly.

The client also chose programmable electric underfloor heating controllerWe connected it to the WiFi network and configured it with the host's smartphone so that the heating would not have to be adjusted by walking to the sauna 2-3 times a day, and all actions could be performed simply by sitting at home.

Since no additional concreting work is required after laying the heating film, the client started the floor installation work while we were selecting the tools. It was chosen to install vinyl flooring over the underfloor heating film, which will be more water-resistant.

What was the cost of installing electric underfloor heating, including materials, thermostats, and labor?

During installation, the following was purchased:
